In between packing and episodes of The Carrie Diaries, I thought i'd look at the goals I set myself in January 2013 that I wanted to achieve, I definitely feel a lot more positive this year, but there is still work that needs to be done.
Move out - OK so, I haven't moved out but I have decided to buy a house instead of renting so I have been house hunting. It is a bit optimistic to say I want to buy a house next year?
Be more positive when blogging - I can say that I now am, I interact a lot more with other bloggers; leaving comments more and talking on Twitter. I have also met some bloggers outside of arranged blogger meets this year too which is so much fun :)
Make more effort with people - There are still people who I wish I made a lot more effort with and wish I saw more.
Plan a big trip abroad - I haven't been abroad this year but I have been travelling quite a lot! I have been back to Cornwall a couple of times and I shall be spending my New Years up in Edinburgh. My love for Cornwall (anywhere in Cornwall) has grown so much, I am going again next year, and staying in a static caravan. I enjoy it so much!
Do more outfit / review posts - I have done a few more outfit posts and I even bought myself a new DSLR and a tripod! I have realised that I'm not really a fan of doing reviews of products on my blog but if I feel like raving about a particular product, you may see the odd post here and there.
Be more organised - I have been inseparable with my moleskin diary since I bought it earlier this year so I have been pretty organised. It's my only skill.
Get back into drawing and sewing - I haven't drawn at all this year :( but I have been sewing a lot more. Even if it is just some bunting and cushions. Maybe i'll treat myself to a nice sketch book next year. Weird as this may sound but i'd like to sit and draw flowers and plants so maybe I need to hunt town a pretty book for inspiration.
Find a hobby - all I do is blog, go to the gym and watch loads of films at the cinema, one of these can be a hobby right? or do I still need to find one?
Be nicer to those who care - I do try my best.
Lose weight - well I'm not too sure about this but did join the gym in February and I enjoy it so much more now I have a gym buddy!
I guess for 2014 I should really focus on those goals I wasn't able to achieve in 2013, I feel these goals shouldn't just be achieved, but continued constantly as along as I enjoy it.
As much as I despise New Years Eve and the pressure of having to go out, a few months ago, some friends and I decided that we should to Edinburgh to see in the new year and this is the outfit I plan on wearing for the 4 and a half hour journey! An over sized shirt and skinny jeans are pretty much staples in my closet and my go-to for comfort.
H&M shirt, Topshop Jeans, River Island Boots
I hope you all have a superb New Year's Eve whether you go out to a party or have a cosy night in, (cosy night in sounds delightful in this awful weather!) because let's face it, it is just another day. However you do get that slight feeling where may want to "start fresh" on New Year's Day because it's a new year and it could mean a new you.
Do you have any goals or resolutions for 2014?
