I managed to bag some free tickets for London Fashion Weekend 2012 at Somerset House. If you are unable to help out, work, or attend any of the big shows at London Fashion Week, then this is the place to be to purchase high end designer gear at more affordable prices. As well as this amazing shopping experience, you can book yourself into a fashion show, where you get to see a few designers showcase their up and coming collections.
This year we saw the likes of Holly Fulton's SS12 Collection, Antipodium's AW12 Collection and a rather Spring Summer collection by UK's leading fashion designer Jasper Conran.
As well as this there were themed looks based on the up and coming trends, we saw the trend 'Game On' which is heavily inspired by the Olympics 2012, and with this sporty feel was a touch of luxe. Combining silk techno fabrics, retro cropped sweaters and shorts teamed with high stilettos.
My favourite trend is definitely Prim Rose, popular with many I am sure, this Spring Summer be sure to see a lot of dusty pastels, sorbet shades and crisp white to create this clean and fresh look. This may not be something everyone can pull off - if in doubt, subtly wear the tone until you feel confident to mix the hues.
This is a very exciting year for fashion, my style has always been the same, from a mix of grunge, studs, stripes, and simply dressing like a boy, so I am very excited to purchase my first sorbet coloured item. Yummy.
