Project Ocean

I have heard a little about it already, but after visiting Selfridges yesterday at The Bull Ring, in Birmingham I saw a lot of displays regarding this campaign. Selfridges launched Project Ocean last week, the world famous department store had a banner stating 'NO MORE FISH IN THE SEA' draped across their department store on Oxford Street London. (See above)
Selfridges are renown for their spectacular window displays, and for this project they filled it all things relating to fish. Supporters include slogan queen, Katherine Hamnett and Elle McPherson. This month long campaign is aiming to end our ocean issues. For the next month there will be programs, of ocean related exhibitions, talks and music at selfridges, including Beth Derbyshire showing her work The Seven Seas, NME and Koko have agreed to do free Friday gig nights there, and Sundays they will be screening films.

Second week in, I only wish I was in London, to check all this out, so if you are there, this is definitely worth a look!
