Get Thrifty in NYC

So I am off to New York this summer, I am far too exciting I am already looking up places to visit, shop, and see. I went a few years ago, but clearly not for long enough, I remember visiting the most amazing market, I don't really remember where it was except that it was a short walk to the Flat Iron Building... I bought the best silver circular engraved pendent, on a long silver chain for just $20. I have worn it loads ever since, by far my best NY purchase.

I need to track down that amazing market, it was full of all sorts, from jewellery, clothes and food.

I have two weeks to sight see and simply mooch around New York. As well as seeing the Empire State Building etc etc, my aim is to check out New York City's thrift and vintage shops, cannot wait. Of course not forgetting the famous department stores; Barneys, Macy's and Bloomingdales.

Here are a few shopping spots I am rather excited about;

HELLS KITCHEN FLEA MARKET
39th Street between Ninth and Tenth Ave; 212-245-5343
www.hellskitchenmarket.com
Sat, Sun 9am - 6pm

GREENFLEA MARKET
Indoor and Outdoor Market
242 West 30th Street, New York (212) 239-3025
www.greenfleamarkets.com

I am sure there are many more to add to this. Suggestions welcome.
